I received my master-degree in Physics in 2000 and the PhD degree in Physics in 2005
at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. Between 2002 and 2004 I
held a fellowship from the Physics Department of the Politecnico di
Milano, for the “Study and Optical and Electro-optical
Characterization of new crystalline materials”. Between 2004 and 2010 I was a contract researcher at the Institute
of Photonics and Nanotechnologies (IFN) of the Italian National Research
Council (CNR) in Milano, Italy. Since
February 2010 I have a permanent position as a researcher at IFN.
My research activity is based on the irradiation of tranparents materials (glass and polymer) by femtosecond lasers to fabricate microfluidic channels and photonic devices, with applications in several fields like biophotonics, optical interconnections or attosecond science. I am co-author of several conference contributions and 40 articles on peer-reviewed journals. |
